Scotland: Celtic too strong for Dunfermline

EDINBURGH, Aug 28 (SW) - Celtic easily defeated Dunfermline, to take the second place in the Scottish Premier League. In the only other match on Sunday, Dundee United were held to a draw by Inverness.

Dunfermline - Celtic 0-4

Dunfermline stood no chance against a much stronger Celtic. Within ten minutes, the Bhoys had taken a comfortable lead with goals from Maciej Zurawski and John Hartson. Shunsuke Nakamure added a third in the 58th minute, and Zurawski scored his second goal for 0-4 in the 74th.

Dundee United - Inverness 1-1

Dundee United were heading for a win, with a goal from Lee Miller in the 66th minute, but Craig Brewster saved a point for Inverness, scoring the equalizer with six minutes left to go.
