UEFA Cup: Levski through, CSKA Moscow eliminated

SOFIA/BUCHAREST, Dec 1 (SW) - Levski Sofia defeated Olympique de Marseille to join the French in the third round of the UEFA Cup. Dinamo Bucharest meanwhile, were too strong for 2005 winners CSKA Moscow.

Levski Sofia - Olympique de Marseille 1-0

A strike from Hristo Yovov put Levski in the lead after 54 minutes, and turned out to be decisive. Marseille had already advanced to the next round, and now share their lead with Levski. Both have six points from three games.

Dinamo Bucharest - CSKA Moscow 1-0

CSKA could have secured qualification as well, but were eliminated instead. The only goal of the match at Dinamo Bucharest was scored by Christian Marian Munteanu in the 73rd minute.

Dinamo now have four points from three games, while CSKA have the same amount from four matches.
