GLASGOW, Aug 7 (SW) – Scottish giants Celtic will welcome Bulgarian international Ivalvo Petkov on a brief visit to the club before attempting to complete a deal.

"He will be here tonight and he will stay with us for a wee while," confirmed Hoops manager Gordon Strachan.

"I don't like to use the word trial, but he will be here and we can look at him and he can look at us.

"We know that he can play, it's whether it is suitable for him and ourselves."

The player is out of contract at Turkish side Ankaragucu, and will asses whether to move to Glasgow over the next week.
