LONDON, Nov 14 (SW) – Chelsea have given former Swedish goalkeeper Magnus Hedman a contract with the club until the end of the season.

This means that the Swede now falls in behind Carlo Cudicini and Hilário to become Chelsea’s third choice goalkeeper.

The thirty three year old Hedman, formerly of Celtic and Coventry City has been brought out of retirement as a result of Petr Cech’s long – term injury.
