CHICAGO, Nov 30 (SW) - Chicago's Soldier Field was named as the venue for the final of the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup final on 24 June.

The 57,000-capacity stadium, which is home to the NFL's Chicago Bears, was renovated in recent years and was also the home of several games during the 1994 World Cup, most notably the opening game between then-champions Germany and Bolivia.

The stadium will also host the two semi-final games before the culmination of the tournament, and they will be joined by five other venues in hosting matches for the tournament held every two years.

Other stadiums will be the Orange Bowl in Miami, the Home Depot Center located just outside of Los Angeles, Giants Stadium outside of New York City, Houston's Reliant Stadium, and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough near Boston.

The 12-team tournament will get underway on 6 June.
