MESSINA, Nov 9 (SW) - Internazionale are a step closer to the Coppa Italia quarter finals after a narrow win at Messina.

The Nerazzurri scored through Argentinian striker Julio Cruz in the 40th minute and this turned out to be enough to win the first leg.

The two teams meet again at San Siro stadium in Milan on November 29th.
