REIMS, Oct 25 (SW) – Despite the arrival of new manager Laurent Banide, AS Monaco could not avoid going out of the French League Cup.

AS Monaco lost on penalties to second division Reims in Reims last night.

At the penalty shootout which Reims won 4 – 3 Gael Givet and Marco Di Vaio both missed penalties.

AS Monaco were Champions League finalists in 2004 but have been on the slide recently and are second from bottom in Ligue 1.
