DUISBURG, Oct 25 (SW) - Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach were the only two Bundesliga sides to be knocked out of the German Cup on Wednesday, although two more were pushed to the limit.

Bayer Leverkusen were the biggest casualty as they were beaten 3-2 after extra time by II.Bundesliga side Duisburg, relegated from the top flight after last season.

Youssef Mokhtari put Duisburg in front afer just five minutes, only to see Tranquillo Barnetta equalize for Leverkusen 15 minutes later.

Mohamadou Idrissou, however, restored Duisburg's lead on the half-hour mark and it looked like it would hold up to be the winner until Simon Rolfes scored with seven minutes left to force extra time.

And with seven minutes left before penalties, Klemen Lavric struck the winner to send Duisburg into the Round of 16.

Third-division Osnabrück were the biggest winners on Wednesday as they claimed the scalp of Gladbach with a 2-1 home triumph.

Addy-Waku Menga was the hero for the home side, giving the lead in the 17th minute, but they were quickly pegged back by Wesley Sonck in the 20th.

Menga, though, would have the final say as he struck just short of the hour mark to fire Osnabrück into the next round.

Nürnberg and Aachen both needed extra-time to defeat Paderborn and Erzgebirge Aue respectively, and Eintracht Frankfurt and Hertha Berlin also claimed wins.
