LILLE, Sep 16 (SW) - Champions League participants Lille suffered a surprising 1-3 defeat by Toulouse on Saturday. All goals were scored in the first half.

Fabinho (16th minute) and Achille Emana (26th minute) had already given Toulouse a comfortable lead when Efstathios Tavlaridis gave Lille new hope by scoring for 1-2.

But the decider came just five minutes later, when Fabinho netted his second to set the score to 1-3. This would not change in the second half.

Lille are now fifth in the French Ligue 1, after six games, while Toulouse are third with only Lyon and Marseille ahead. This could however change after Sunday's fixtures.
