Bayer 04 Leverkusen striker Dmitri Bulykin may have scored on his return to Russia but he rued a later miss as a 1-0 win at FC Zenit St. Petersburg was only enough for in a 4-2 UEFA Cup quarter-final aggregate defeat.
"Had I scored again, then it would have been 2-0 midway through the first half," he said. "In Germany we allowed Zenit to play well and today we were good ourselves. If we'd been better in the first leg it would have been different."
