Monaco FC's relegation fears deepened as they crashed to a 2-1 home defeat by Stade Rennais FC in Ligue 1. Mickaël Pagis struck the winner in added time as Rennes climbed to fifth place.

Petter Hansson had opened the scoring on 20 minutes only for Massamba Sambou to hit back for Monaco seven minutes before the break. With seven games to go, the 2004 UEFA Champions League finalists are just three points above the drop zone, in 15th position.
