Sevilla FC defender Federico Fazio has extended his contract at the club until June 2013. "I want to thank the president José María Del Nido and the coaching staff for the trust they have shown in me since I arrived at the club," commented the Argentinian Under-20 world champion.

Fazio, who has played 18 league games for the first team this season and 4 UEFA Champions League matches, joined the Andalusian side in January 2007 on a five-year deal from Club Ferro Carril Oeste.
