Austrian Bundesliga outfit SV Ried have dismissed coach Thomas Weissenböck after a string of five defeats in six league games.
"We analysed the situation and made this decision. We can't accuse him of anything bad – he did his best," Ried general manager Stefan Reiter said. Weissenböck himself was not surprised. "The pressure on me was huge," he said. "When I saw Reiter calling me on my mobile, I knew why."
