Real Valladolid defender Pedro López has extended his contract with the Primera División club until June 2012. The 24-year-old has signed up for four more years.

He joined the then second division side from Valencia CF in 2005 following a loan spell at Real Racing Club Santander and last season helped Valladolid to promotion. He has made 19 top-flight appearances for the 13th-placed team this term, scoring in a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid CF in September.
