Ezequiel Lavezzi has signed a one-year contract extension with Serie A outfit SSC Napoli, committing until June 2013.

"We have extended his contract," said general manager Pierpaolo Marino of the 22-year-old who scored both goals in last night's 2-0 defeat of ACF Fiorentina. "This means that he feels involved in our project." The Argentinian striker joined from CA San Lorenzo de Almagro last summer.
