Rapid Wien surged to the top of Austria's Bundesliga with a stunning 7-0 win at previous leaders FC Salzburg.

The visitors were five goals ahead inside half an hour with Erwin Hoffer and Stefan Maierhofer scoring twice, the former completing his hat-trick after the interval before Steffen Hofmann (90) added the seventh. Rapid Wien are one point clear of Salzburg and two ahead of LASK Linz with five games remaining.
