FC Hansa Rostock centre-back Tim Sebastian will join Karlsruher SC on a free transfer this summer having agreed a contract until 2011 with his new club.

"Tim Sebastian was our first choice for a new central defender," said Karlsruhe general manager Rolf Dohmen of the 24-year-old. "He is a young German player who has proved he is capable of playing in the Bundesliga." Sebastian has 90 league appearances to his name, all with Rostock.
