Portsmouth are the dark horse of next season. With Crouch, Defoe, Utaka, Diop, Kanu, Diarra, Baros, and even Nugent or Matt Taylor, Pompey have the squad to surprise. I'd expect a top 6 finish, nothin less, IF the ageing defence can hold firm.

Mince these words. Andrea Dossena may be an unknown but just like skrtel, he will grow into the team. No doubt (at the moment) Riise is uncomparable but Dossena's worth will be realised soon, and just like Riise, he's a no nonsense athlete.

The Germans are under pressure to perform, and they've shown that they can buckle like they did against Croatia. Conceding 2 against Portugal exposed their defensive frailties as well. They're a very good footballing side, but not invincible. If the Turkish team can't play football, they won't be where they are now, and it shows that they CAN play. Its 50-50 still. Game on.

I love him already. He's up there with my favs like Zidane, Nedved, Gerard. Indeed it is sad to see his late coming, but you know what they day 'Better late than never!'.

Good players don't lose their talents that easily. Owen's predicament has been the cause of the lack of service around him (at Newcastle). Put Ronaldo (Man U) at Newcastle and I doubt he'll score 40 goals a season either. As I see it, Owen is still a class player, an asset to any team - but going down to japan will be the last thing on his mind right now.
